Directions 2010 KFR .. Bear Creek Crossing...

Where in the world is Bear Creek Crossing? It appears that there is no exact address for the resort. Worst case,find Eden Crest and the directions I sent out earlier from the Eden Crest Office to Bear Creek Crossing..


My son Adam found it on his GPS using the way points below..
I was able to get GPS way points to the gate of Bear Creek Crossing.

2010 KFR Golf Cart Rental and Golf Outing...

Potential Golf Outing on Wednesday the June 30th - Tee Times are available in the morning or afternoon (as of today) the course is 3 miles from Bear Creek Crossing.. Only Positive responses required and if we have enough interest, I will set the Tee Times..

KFR 2010 Rafting Information

Hi Everyone,
I called today and set up our group rafting reservation!! If you have contacted me about going on the trip please see the info below to call and make your payment. If you would still like to be included please let me know to add you to my list and then go ahead and make your reservations.

WHEN:
Tuesday June 29th

TIME:
Lower Pigeon (slower rapids) launch time: 1:30pm
Upper Pigeon (big rapids) launch time: 1:45pm
approx. a 2 hr. trip 1 hour on the water. Upper Pigeon gets done earlier.

PRICE:
Lower (slower/smaller): $31.65/person
Upper (bigger/faster0: $33.83/person
includes all taxes and fees

WHERE:
Here is a link to the directions. Plan for a 1 1/2 trip there and back. We will be setting up a carpool to drive over to the location. Please let me know if you would volunteer to drive and how much room you have. MEET AT 11:30 AT THE CLUBHOUSE TO HEAD OUT!!! We are required to be there about a 1/2 hour early. Plan to eat before you leave and dinner will not start till we get back that evening.

These directions get us around Gatlinburg to avoid the traffic through town. She says to give yourself 1 1/2 hours due to the mountainous drive. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS!!

WHAT TO BRING:
- Waiver that will be provided in your welcome packet at check in to resort
- Water shoes: or shoes that will stay on your feet, no flip flops or slip on shoes
- Change of clothes and towel, you will get wet!!
- Water and snacks, no meals provided, eat before you come!!

King Family Reunion 2010 (9?) Picture Day

All - Dorothy has arranged for a Photographer for Monday Night! This photographer has taken pictures at Bear Creek Crossing before...

We are on for the photographer Monday night, at 6:30 at the clubhouse. I thought we should get the word out in case any one thinks for a minute that they are not going to be in the group photo!
We'll do the big one first and then any break out groups after. Everyone will be able to go on line and order from the website. No funds are needed for Monday night.

Would you please notify the group and add to your blog that there is an additional t-shirt style available: the Men's Long-Sleeve t-shirt may also be ordered in white for $13. The King Family Reunion 2010 t-shirts are now ready to order. I need your order by this Monday May 31st!

Thanks to Bill for a great design. When you arrive at the reunion, you'll see the logo prominently displayed on the entry gates! I am fortunate to have a patient husband and graphic designer friend who enabled us to realize Bill's vision. In addition, Fred Durham of Cafe Press is giving us a great deal on t-shirts and we are going to haul them in a duffel to save on shipping. King Family Reunion 2010 (8)

Greetings to all!! Payments are coming in nicely and I thank you for that! For those of you who still have not paid, please get them to me ASAP. Our count is approx 100 and of course at this point the cost will remian the same. I will be making the final payment for the housing this next week! IF you are unsure of your balance, let me know..

I will be posting directions soon...

We should have word on the T-Shirts this week as well..

Some notes about what to bring and what is provided..

Towels and Linens are provided for each house
Each cabin has a starter kit for paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap, you may want to bring extra, along with your own beach towels for the pool and laundry detergent if you need to do laundry..
Each house has at least one hot tub..
Each house has a ourside grill too!
I do think the porches with the rocking chairs will be great, and a great place for launching water balloons, BYOB - Booze and balloons..for those consuming alcoholic beverages, we are in a dry county - buy before you get there..

If there is any interest in renting golf carts for getting around on the grounds, I will be negotiating a deal later this next week. IF you rent them, you rent them on your own and will be totally responsible for them..It's a ways down to the clubhouse, but there is a large parking lot there as well.

Bring your State Flag from the last reunion and fly it proudly from your porches!!

The following meals will be provided..
Breakfast and Dinner for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Breakfast on Thursday - Check out day (by noon) July 1st...
Lunch you are on your own, each house has a full kitchen...

We MAY have enough to do Pizza at check in Sunday evening - Check in is at 400 p.mm. on the 27th of June at the clubhouse. I will let you all know ASAP

Your housing assigment will be given out at that time..
We will also have sign up's for the Talent Show, Scrabble Tourney and Euchre Tourney. We have the use of the clubhouse for the entire week.
The grounds have a huge front yard for Volley Ball, Softball, Races, whatever we choose to do, right next to the indoor pool, outdoor pool and mini putt.

To All - I hope this finds you all well and enjoying this wonderful weekend wherever you may be..we are all blessed.

I thought it was time to update you all and remind you that payments neeed to be rec'd by the 27th of April as previously communicated. I have to turn in a final count by the 3rd of May, 2010.. Additional information about the Reunion Cost and other items..

The final cost will be as follows:
Adult - $72.00 per night
6-17 - $42.00 per night
0-5 - $10.00 per night

Check in time - 400 p.m. EST on the 27th of June
I will send out directions to the clubhouse where you will check in and get your house assignments.
Check out time - 12:00 noon EST on the 1st of July

Your costs include housing for 4 nights, 4 breakfast's and 3 dinners.. Meals are being planned!!

King Family Reunion 2010 (6)

Greetings to all - 2010 is off and running! I hope this finds you all well and looking forward to the Reunion that is right around the corner! We have one family that has paid in full!

I would like to thank those who have been making payments and at this stage of the game, I think we need some commitments.
IF you are planning on coming to the 2010 Reunion and you have not made any deposits, please make a deposit ASAP.
IF you are NOT planning on coming to the 2010 Reunion, please let me know ASAP.

As it stands right now, there are 7 families that have not made deposits.. The total from those 7 families accounts for 30 people.. IF those 30 dont make it, the cost will rise for those who are. (Just stating the facts, folks, no pressure, we just need to know...)

Understanding that peoples lives / plans change, we need to get a better count ASAP. Let me know when you can...
